Sewing Crow-Bees Update

The Friends are humbled by the extraordinary result the Sewing Crow-bees have achieved.

As we write this piece, they have raised 13,434 through Virgin Giving plus donations in collecting tins. The ladies have had a pop-up stall from time to time on Montargis Terrace and run an on-line raffle to be drawn on December 11th. Local businesses have been wonderfully generous in offering an impressive range of prizes.

The Friends would like to give wholehearted thanks to everyone who has contributed to this terrific endeavour which will be of enormous benefit to our lovely local hospital. We are delighted to be able to announce that the funds raised will buy more very specialist mattresses for the hospital ward. They will enable the nurses to look after patients with more complex needs, thus caring for them closer to home and reducing the time those patients have to spend in an acute hospital.
