Volunteers
The friends would like to extend a heartfelt invitation to individuals who are passionate about making a difference in their community to consider volunteering.
Volunteering at the hospital offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of others while gaining valuable experience and personal satisfaction.
The Friends of Crowborough Hospital provides transport for the Day Centre through an accessible minibus and a wheelchair accessible ambulance that we own, maintain and for which we manage a pool of suitably qualified Volunteer drivers. We are always seeking volunteer drivers, in order to ensure continuity of cover during periods of holiday or sickness. Hours are varied so we can fit into your requirements and full training is provided.
Our hospital relies heavily on the dedication and generosity of volunteers in other and various aspects of patient care, administration, and community suppot programs. Whether you have a few hours to spare each week or are looking for a meaningful way to give back, there are numerous roles available to suit your interests and availability.
Being a volunteer provides a chance to interact with patients, families, and staff members, fostering connections and making a positive impact on the lives of others. From assisting with daily tasks to providing companionship and comfort to patients, each volunteer role plays a vital part in enhancing the overall experience for everyone at the hospital.
