Hospital fete profits exceed £13,000
This year’s fete was a great success. The weather, although still not sunny and dry as hoped, was a great improvement on that of 2014 and the population of Crow- borough turned out in their hundreds to support their local hospital.
Along with many old favourite stalls, there were some new attractions such as Pimms, balloon modelling and handicrafts. The cake and produce stall had been rejuvenated by the WI and was as popular as ever. The Jive Aces provided some very enjoyable entertainment and even encouraged some dancing!
Hospital Services to be provided by Sussex Healthcare Alliance
As most people have probably heard by now, on November 1st, Sussex Healthcare Alliance took over the delivery of most of the services in Crowborough Hospital, noteably minor injuries, X-ray and the ward. The general committee of the Friends of Crowborough Hospital welcome this change and offer a warm welcome to Sussex Community Trust (SCT) who will provide most of the services you actually encounter, including district nurses.
