Crowborough Hospital Fête
The fête always takes place on August Bank Holiday Monday, from 2pm until 5pm in the hospital grounds in Southview Road.
It’s a great day out. Attractions can include clothes stalls, collectables, jewellery, coconut shy, book stall, tea, cakes, beer tent, ice cream van and burger bar as well as various raffles.
A special Kids’ Zone makes it a great day out for the whole family. Inside the Zone will be a fun, bouncy castle for children along with a face painting team, Jimmy the Jester, and stalls selling toys, children’s books and puzzles.
Donations of good quality books, clothes, collectables, bric-a-brac and jewellery are urgently needed for some of the Fête’s busiest stalls. Contributions can be received at the hospital in Southview Road, Crowborough at the sheds adjacent to the main hospital roundabout, every Friday afternoon (between 2.00pm and 4.00pm) BUT NO EARLIER THAN JULY.
Appeal for help
Numbers of voluntary helpers are dwindling and we urgently need more helpers to assist the current team and to ensure the continuity of the Fête.
These are the areas you can be part of at this special annual event, that provides valuable funds to ensure the Hospital’s future survival:
- Evelyn needs help sorting for the collectable stall on Friday afternoons from the beginning of July
- We need raffle ticket sellers at the various supermarkets
- Help setting up the fête stalls between 10am and 2pm and clearing up after 5pm on August Bank Holiday Monday
Contact the fête organisers if you would like to offer help.
