On Friday 25th June Lynne Thorpe and Sophie Dulwich-Millar presented the President of the Friends of Crowborough Hospital (Dr Kate Stokes) with a cheque for £518 that they had raised by selling recycled jigsaws locally through their specially created Facebook Page.

As shown alongside Dr Kate Stokes presented them with a letter of thanks in which she said….

I am so impressed by the work that you and Sophie Dulwich-Millar have done with “Jigsaws for Sale” to raise funds for the Friends of Crowborough Hospital.

To have continued the sales of Jigsaws even through lockdown via your Facebook page is an even greater achievement, and to raise £518 this way is truly remarkable.  You can both be proud of your efforts and achievement in being able to handover that bumper cheque today.

At a time when many of the Friends normal fund-raising activities are suspended or severely restricted the £518 you have raised is especially welcome, and you can be sure it will be put to good use as we support our hospital and hospital staff in these pressurised circumstances.
