Flowers brighten up Crowborough Hospital

Quality Sussex Plants (previously Jordans); the Friends of Crowborough Hospital and the NHS Property Services Estates Team have all combined to brighten up Crowborough Hospital with fresh new flowers and bedding plants.

Michael & Ian (Estates Team) beside the newly planted flower beds in the Ward Garden, which they had first thoroughly weeded, and in the process had found a small “In Memoriam” plaque (now visible at the front).

The Friends funded £100 of bedding plants for the hospital to be purchased from Quality Sussex Plants, who promptly donated an additional £50 worth of plants to the hospital so that the large round flower bed in the Ward Garden could also be included.

Michael and Ian from the Estates Team took the opportunity to refurbish that large flower bed, so that by the end of June as the flowers bloomed the area had been transformed.

As more visitors are now able to visit their loved ones in Crowborough Hospital, the Ward Garden with flowers and benches and the newly restored Gazebo in the background will become a much-appreciated facility. And even in wet weather patients and visitors can use the ward conservatory that looks out on the gardens.
